for my final I gave the photograph a blue tinge to link it to the colour of facebook.
i also changed my saying to be more short and serious with a fact about facebook beneath it

My second photo-shoot went a lot better as I photographed the puppets in a theatre at Wellington college that was very dark. after finding the best Photograph i touched it up on photoshop and started playing with text.

to make the puppets i used mostly MDF and dowel. the arms and legs consisted of 3 parts including the hands and feet, and the head that was made from reused pine had the end of a paintbrush (that was his neck) put into a hole that i drilled in the bottom of the head. after gluing all limbs to the main body using tape to hold it in position, I drilled holes in the joints that pointed up for the string that was threaded through.

I then started my first photo-shoot of the puppets in different positions. unfortunately the photos didnt turn out as a wanted, ill shoot my second photo-shoot soon and do it better.

For interim i presented 4 ideas, but only two of them were blown up to A3 unfortunately. feedback from other students was that the community one was appealing but hard to understand, whereas the puppet idea was simple and easy to understand. after first class I spoke to one of my tutors (Tom), and he said the puppet idea was the strongest. I will develop this idea and i am thinking of actually making the puppets then photographing them.

these are the 4 main ideas i came to.

Continuing development of ideas. I like the idea that puppets are a symbol of being controlled and might use them in a final poster idea. I also like the birds eye view of a community forming a Facebook f idea that could embody a community forming together or something

unfortunately i was sick for the first 2 lessons. So I have found images that i think show ihi and wehi. i have also decided to use social media as my social issue.
